And they say that a hero could save us
I'm not gonna stand here and wait
I'll hold on to the wings of the eagles
Watch as we all fly away

total miles run: 13.57 miles (21.73 km)
money raised in Travis' name: $100.00Before I tell you about my run, let me introduce you to my family....
This is Vivian (9 y.o.), my wife Lina, and Nicole (7 y.o). This was one of our family Christmas pictures (obviously). I love this picture!!
Anyway, about the workout today...
I did the run in the evening because I didn't get up in time to do it before work. As I may have mentioned before, I'm doing Herbalife products as part of this running program.
The run felt good, but the 3 minute run intervals were a little tough. I got through them. I did tape up my left shin and it felt fine. Now my knees are giving me problems. They hurt a little, but I'm going to run through the pain.
When I downloaded the information from my GPS watch, I found out that I didn't meet the distances recommended in the training program. You se the program had intervals at 1:30 or 200 yards and 3:00 or 400 yards. I was short on both. Next workout, I'm going to try doing it for distance. I'm going to do that because my goal is to do the distance (5K or 10K). I need to train at distance, not so much time. I want to finish the races I going to do.
Well, that's another day, another workout.....
My goal is to finish the Marine Corps Marathon 10K in October, and I'm doing this in remembrance of 1Lt. Travis Manion, USMC.
"If not me, then who..."
Semper Fi !!
Thanks for checking in...
